I'm a little slow in my listening, but this is one of the best instrumental records I've heard this year. It kicks Mono's ass and might even give Do Make Say Think a run for their money. The music is alternately aggressive riffs, beautiful piano passages, glitchy drum machine driven electronica and noodly guitar ostinatos. It is an album that is immediately accessible but does not wear off. You will find yourself listening to this much more than you had anticipated because it is just so addictive. If you don't get anything else from 2009 I don't care, as long as you get this.
